主讲人简介：

Robert Scott Van Pelt earned a Masters degree in Floristicsand Ecology with a minor in Atmospheric Climatology from the University of NewMexico in 1984 and a PhD in Soil Physics from New Mexico State University in1990.  He has worked in the private consultingsector and since 1999 is currently a researcher for the United StatesDepartment of Agriculture (USDA), on the Board of Directors, InternationalSociety for Aeolian Research (ISAR), Past President of International SoilConservation Organization (ISCO), Associate Editor of Aeolian Research andJournal of Soil and Water Conservation, Soil Scientist at USDA-AgriculturalResearch Service Big Spring Field Station, and President of the Golden SpreadChapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.

Robert Scott Van Pelt，1990年于新墨西哥州立大学获土壤物理学博士学位，现任美国农业部土壤风蚀与水土保持研究所研究员，国际风沙科学学会副主席，SCI期刊《Aeolian Research》 和 《Journal of Soil and Water Conservation》副主编，曾任世界水土保持协会（ISCO）主席。现为美国农业部（USDA）土壤风蚀与水土保持研究所大斯普林土壤风蚀野外观测站土壤风蚀研究组负责人。
